Nail Trimming Issues?

One of the #1 complaints and struggles I hear about through working at the vet's office is that their dog HATES nail clipping!
Why do dogs hate it? It's a lot of pressure on them. Their paw pads are pushed on, the nail clippers work by squeezing their nail (especially if dull!), sometimes we hit the nerve before hitting the quick, sometimes we hit the nerve AND the quick (the blood supply), then we mess with putting powder on their foot. We insist on cutting all the nails at once. They're often held in positions they are not comfortable in. We stress out. Shall I go on?

So let's solve some of that problem, shall we?

Have you heard of a Scratch Board? It's a way for your dog to file his own nails at home. While it primarily works for the front nails, let's be real. The front nails are usually the problem. This may not eliminate the need for your dog to EVER need an actual nail clipping but it can sure help the front nail quicks recede and keep their nails in much better shape! And if you've been following me at all, you should know by now that I love to share this sort of stuff with you because it adds fun into your dog's life, simplifies yours, and moves toward more low stress vet care

Here is a quick preview video but if you would like the full instructional video and the downloadable PDF to go along with it, visit another one of my website pages and I'll e-mail you everything you need!
